Was a member of an informal forum on publishing practices. It was geared to create an awareness of a publishing culture, as part of Unimas Strategic Plan (2008-2010) on R & D, i.e. to build a research culture in UNIMAS. The others on the panel were Law Puong, Sim Sai Peng, Balbir Singh, and Janet Cox. 
Quite a number of persons attended, 
but what was sad for me was the lack of members (tutors and newer staff) from my faculty. But it was a good start and hopefully there will be more such sessions and more interest.
