Mud Crabs

I see these sold by the roadside quite often, on my way home. Never wanted to buy them coz I don't know much about them. I know my wife likes crabs, but those are the sea variety. Plus she has been telling me stories... of how people catch these crabs and when they cant sell them, keep them aside, so by the time we buy there is less meat on the bone... so I am not to buy unless I know its fresh or something to that effect. And I don't know, so I don't buy... plus every time I buy anything from these roadside vendors, I get the high end of the price... even when I speak Sarawakian...must be the way I look... ha ha ha. I rather someone else to do the buying...
