Went to Melaka from 4th to 6th February. I was an external examiner for a MSc student at Multimedia University (MMU). 
They paid for the flight and hotel, with a driver to take me around, so how could I refuse .. : )
They paid for the flight and hotel, with a driver to take me around, so how could I refuse .. : )I was also invited to give a talk at MMU, which I did .. on How to Publish. The talk was linked to MMU in KL and had a few people from both Melaka and KL attending. 
It was interesting, as I talked on the basics and there were a few who were more into the impact factor etc. I was hoping for more of the younger staff to be there, so that they would be encouraged to try to write and publish. But I can understand the pressure to publish in top journals.
