Lecture Break and Maintenance Issues

After a few hours of lecture on Saturday, went for a break with my CMBA students to this food court at the bottom of the water tower. The food was good and the coffee was very good. But the table and chairs were not well maintained and dirty. Rather disappointed in that, and as I noticed and also pointed out by my new boss, there are a lot of maintenance issues - dirty walls, dirty glass, and trees growing in cracks in the buildings..Just embarrassed when the CMBA students noticed it too... oh well, this has been highlighted many times... hopefully it will be taken care of by those responsible.

...and I wonder why there are many paid cleaners around who can sit and chat as if there are nothing much to be cleaned.

Hmm....

The one that's near to the current construction facing the lake is also suffering the same condition. I'm not sure one day this place will be a part of a must-visits by migratory birds that will mass secrete their feces like a party. Whatever.

Actually, the design of Unimas is kind of wince...carpark at the back of CAIS, but no footpath leading CAIS....food court facing the lake has no carpark....most importance of all, the buildings are not maintenance friendly...
