My father in law and brother in law went back to 'kampung' to catch fish... as the 'lake' is now drying up and fish are abundant. Around 30 men (people from the village) went 'menjala' and 'menjaring' (basically two different methods of catching fish). They came back with a lot of fish, and told that they caught 6 gunny sacks of fish that was shared between the participants..
Then the ladies took over to clean the fish
and to share the fish with others in the housing area.
There was a lot of freshwater fish.. and my father in law will be making 'kasam ikan' (preserved fish)... not really looking forward to that.. its rather smelly and for me it taste bad.. but for others its heaven.
