Onion oh Onion

We recently went for a walk in a supermarket, and my wife said she wanted to buy somethings to make tom yam soup. So among many things, she picked up an onion, without checking the price. It was a rather large onion as you can see from the comparison with the coffee cup..

but what was striking was not its size... but its price.

Yes, that one onion cost us RM10.36... ha ha ha... my wife was so surprised.. because just a few days later, at a nearby supermarket.. a similar red onion, was selling for RM3.50 a kilo.

Buyers beware. Always check the price ...

J-Man said...: oh prof, i saw the tag there say, 'Cold Storage'. Guess that is standard cos let us perceive that all their products is from some country in this world, that makes their price so interesting ridiculous and expensive.
